- Her husband's parents were John Lawrason and Amelia Simons. His mother was the daughter of Colonel Titus Geer Simons, defender of Dundurn. He was wounded at the Battle of Lundy's Lane, War of 1812. his jacket, hat and scabbord are in Dundurn Castle, Hamilton, Ontario.
