    • OBITUARY OF HOWARD ROBERT MINK

      Howard Robert Mink, 70, of 625 Washburn Street, died unexpectedly today in his home. An Elgin resident for 65 years, he was born September 5, 1895, in Martinstown, MO, a son of Charles and Minnie Maxwell Mink. He was a retired employee of Elgin National Watch Company and a veteran of World War I. He was a member of Elgin Post 57, American Legion. Surviving are the widow, Stella F.Pearson Mink; two sons, Donald H. and Earl M., both of Elgin; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Barry (Gertrude) Doiel of Hamburg, IA, Mrs. Irene Wauchope of Elgin and Mrs. Edwin (Nina) Steffan of Carpentersville; three brothers, Carl of Elgin, Orville of South Elgin, and Walter of Pelican Lake, WS. A brother, Marvin, preceded him in death. Services will be held at 10 Wednesday in the Stout Funeral Home the Rev. William H. Clark, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday. DAILY COURIER-NEWS - JULY 2, 1966
