Dr. Green grew to manhood at the old homestead, working on the farm until he attained his majority. Being interested in the diseases of animals, he early took up the study of veterinary surery, and after studying at home for some time, in 1884, he attended the Ontario Veterinary College, from which he was graduated in 1888. Politically Mr. Green has always been a conservative and taken an active part in local affairs. Religiously, he and his wife are followers of the Salvation Army and they have taken a very active part in the post at Ridgetown. Dr. Green is a member of the Order of Maccabees. Throughout a wide territory Dr. Dreen and his family are favourly known, while in his profession the doctor is recognized as a skillful surgeon, thoroughly versed in his work. he is genial and has many friends where he has made himself know.
