Purchased the old homestead in Howard Twp (Lot 18 Con V) They cleared over 100 acres making their farm one of the best in Kent County

By this time, they had 7 children living, 8 grandchildren, and 2 greatgrandchildren. Their grandson Christopher, having two children, Clarke W. Weitzel and Gladys Weitzel. They were prominent in the work of the Methodist church.
