- Charles Robert Mink, who died yesterday morning at his home, 347 St. Charles Street, was born June 30, 1866, in Elgin, where he resided most of his life. He was married to Miss Minnie Maxwell September 15, 1889, and to this union four children were born, three of whom are living at the present time. They are Mrs. Barry (Gertrude) Doiel of Langdon, MO; Carl L. and Howard R. Mink of Elgin. Mrs. Mink died September 10, 1899. The deceased was married the second time October 15, 1902, to Miss Gertrude Bayless of Elgin, who survives him. Five children were born to the second union, Marvin, Orville, Walter, Irene and Nina all of whom are living at home. Mr. Mink's mother, Azuba R. He had been employed in the plate department of the watch factory since 1889 except for seven years spent in Missouri.
