Whenever a band was to be organized in Holly village everyone thought of Charlie Buzzell. During the 30 years of his prime, band enthusiasts within a radius of 100 miles have at some time listened enraptured to the melodius notes coming from this capable musician's cornet. But the old silver cornet is now packed in its case in the parlor of the Buzzell home. It served its time dutifully and splendidly as has its master in the field of active music. Memories linger on of a man loved by his students and by neighbors.

OBITUARY:
Benjamin Buzzell, formerly of 3085 Belford Rd. Holly, age 92, died Sunday Jan.4,1981 at Fenton Extended Care Center. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday Jan.7, 1981 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly, Rev. Ralph S. Parvin officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly. Mr. Buzzell was born in Holly Township on Sept.17/1888, the son of Charles and Ella Green Buzzell. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of W.W.1. Surviving are several cousins. A brother Samuel Buzzell and a sister Euretta Buzzell preceded him in death.
