    Obituary in Dec 7 1905 Flushing Observer states:
    Died Quite Unexpectedly
    Emma, wife of Fred Powell, died early Saturday morning at her home in this village. During the early fall she had a severe attack of typhoid fever from which her recovery was very slow and last week she contracted a cold and congestion of the lungs developed from which, owing to her weakened condition, shs was unable to rally. Her death was quite unexpected to her husband and friends who deeply deplore her untimely demise. The deceased was born in this village on August 9, 1875 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Brown. her entire life had been pased in this community where she was well known and much respected. She was married to Mr. Powell February 12, 1902, who survives her. Besides her husband and parents she is survied by two sisters and one brother, Chas. Brown, Mrs. J. Eugene Brown of this township and Mrs. Ernest Mead of Montrose. The funeral was held from Mr. Powell's home on Mill street on Monday afternoon, the services being conducted by Rev. S. Schofield. Interment was made in the village cemetery.

    Emma married Frederick T. POWELL on 12 Feb 1902 in Genesee, Mich, USA. Frederick (son of George POWELL and Elizabeth (Anna) LOWDEN) was born on 12 Mar 1878 in Flushing, Genesee, Mich, USA; died on 10 Aug 1965 in Flushing, Genesee, Mich, USA; was buried on 13 Aug 1965.
