Car accident, finance Pam Laman died. Baby survived.

Family believe the couple probably had an argument and lost control of the car and it flipped over in the ditch. Believe it was a farmer walking by on the road above, that heard crying from the baby. He went down, took the baby out and took her with him to go get help. Afterwards, the mother-in-law of Darren, apparently who had no interest in her daughter, let alone the granddaughter, fought in the courts to get the baby. After the Olmstead's paid well over $3000 to legally fight to keep the baby they loved so much, they lost. It's believed the paternal grandmoteher lost her will to live after losing her son and then losing her granddaughter, and she died a short time later. The compilations of tragedies caused the paternal grandfather of the baby, (Glenn) to later try and take his life, and he went through some phyciatricc care. Llater things turned around for him and he married a second time. This story I heard from Darren's grandmother, Bette Olmstead.
