Abt 1635 - 1731 (~ 96 years)
Generation: 1
1. | Mary was born about 1635 in 1692.; died on 8 Dec 1731 in Concord, Mass, USA; was buried in Concord, Mass, USA. Notes:
November 2, 1997 - Received information from Madeline Dodd regarding the daughter of Ralph and Alice Mousall. She says: 'You have the 2nd Wife of Thomas Goble as Mary Mousall. This is not true. This is a misunderstanding arising from the fact that Ralph Mousall's will names his 'daughter Mary Gove' and that has been misinterpreted as Mary Goble. In actual fact, he had a foster daughter named Mary Gove...who is the person named in the will and there is no connection to the Goble family.' Mrs. Dodd has provided the following reference: clarification appeared in NEHGS 'Register', v. 99, January 1945, p. 77....(and based on NEHGR No. 7, p. 170) in will of John Gove of Charlestown, dated 22 1647/8, which says 'I do give & bequeath with my wife's full consent, my daughter Mary GOVE to Ralph Mousall & his wife , as their own child, forever', and he included a silver porringer and 5 pounds to pay her way...the probable explanation (according to the article) is that the mother had periodic attacks of mental illness (as did her son Edward Gove) and that twin children of her second marriage to John Mansfield were also 'put out'. The major thrust of the article was actually to explain the 'daughter' Ruth Wood, who turned out to be a granddaughter.
Mary married Thomas Jr. GOBLE about 1668. Thomas (son of Thomas Sr. GOBEL and Alice) was born about 1631 in England; died on 22 Oct 1690 in Concord, Mass, USA; was buried in Concord, Mass, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

8. | Abigail DUDLEY (5.Benjamin3, 2.Abigail2, 1.Mary1) was born after 1730 in Sudbury, MA; died on 13 Feb 1814 in Westmoreland, Cheshire Co., NH. Notes:
According to History written by William Howe. 'Abigail was small and dark complexioned. A favorite pastime of hers was horseback riding and a horse was kept for her special use. She was very religious and a constant attendant at church, to which she always went on horseback. One Sunday for some reason she did not go as usual; the horse which was grazing in an adjacent field evidently thought church going was in order, when he saw the people passing by; he jumped the wall and went deliberately to the church door where he stood for his mistress to alight, then in conformity to the usual custom, went and waited in the horse shed until the service was over, and following others again presented himself at the church door, and after a few minutes trotted home again, having carried out his part of the Sabbath observances.'
Abigail married Samuel HOWE on 12 Apr 1750 in Sudbury, Middlesex Co., MA. Samuel was born on 15 Jun 1727 in Framingham, MA; died on 9 Apr 1806. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
