Funeral of Mr. William Oldridge at Crediton
The funeral of Mr. Wm. Oldridge, of 'Fernbank', Searle-street, took place at the Parish Churc Blinds were drawn and shutters put up in all the business houses enroute to the church. The inscription: 'William Oldridge, died August 7th, 1919, aged 31 years.' The chief mourners wer Setter (cousin), Mrs. F. Short (cousin), Mrs. F. Balsom (cousin), Mrs. M. Burridge (cousin), Mrs. J. Trott, Miss Bricknell (sister-in-law). Others present included Mr. S. B. Francis (Cha Oldridge), Messrs. J. Symes, W. Staddon, W. Doddridge, J. and W. Murch, W. E. Huntley, Ellawa Doddridge, W. Middleweek, F. Hartley, H. and F. Trickey, R. Webber, R. Elston, F. Madge, Bolt, S. Middleweek, W. Wade. The Ladies' Conservative Club was also represented. The firm of (general foreman). The firm also sent a beautiful wreath. Others present were: P.S. Webber, P Mr. And Mrs. Beer, Mr. And Mrs. L. Hall, and many others. Floral tributes included those from family (Teignmouth). 'A true friend and colleague, H.M.P.' Mr. And Mrs. W.E. Huntly, member Alice, Louie and Art, Len and Ivy, Ellen, Alb., and F. W. White, etc.
