A letter from Sally Carter, dated 13 December 1996, includes the following paragraph:

'I visited the Otterton are back in October [1996] and paid a visit to Betty BULLOCK in Budle married a Mary Jane OLDRIDGE. He moved to Calcutta, India possibly in the 1850's. It is even a wondeful name! I think that Robert was a little too influenced by the previous famous occup that is the only information I have on him. I did write to a letter back to the ladyt in New it?'
